Description
It is a simple hand-held tool used mostly for grinding and polishing. While originally designed as tools for flexible abrasive discs, the development of an accessible power source has enabled their use with a broad range of cutters and attachments. Angle grinders can be powered by electric motors or by pressurized gas. The engine drives the geared arm at the right angle on which the abrasive disc or narrower cut-off disc is installed, each of which can be substituted when discarded. Angle grinders are usually fitted with a flexible guard and a side handle for two-handed function. Other angle grinders could be used as sanders, using a sanding disc with a rear pad or disc based on their speed range.
